Nature of Death: Heart attack while fight a grass fire.

Captain Edwards, a 39-year veteran of the SAFD, suffered a heat attack while fighting a large grass fire in the 2300 block of Nopal Street.  Capt. Edwards was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Brook Army Medical Center in critical condition. He died at 2:00am the following morning.

Captain Edwards was survived by his wife, two children, his mother, two sisters, one brother, and six grandchildren.
